Beach Day Essentials
OK, I think it’s safe to say that summer is here!! It takes the Pacific Northwest a little more time than other parts of the country. But it has been beautiful here, and I’m ready to put my beach day essentials together and head to the beach!
At the beginning of summer, I put most of my beach essentials in my beach bag, and that’s where they stay all season. Unless I have to clean out the sand!! It’s great to have a list because honestly there is nothing worse than getting to the beach and realizing you forgot something. So with a little pre-planning, your beach day will be a huge success.
Beach Bag
First things first, you need a beach bag. I have several fun beach bags, but I think a netted bag is perfect for the sandy beach. Cuz, nobody wants to bring the sandy beach home with them!!
Here area a couple that I found that I am loving right now.
What’s in my beach bag
Sunscreen
The most important thing of all!!! Don’t forget your sunscreen! The sun’s UV rays are powerful, and if your skin isn’t properly protected from them, it can result in sun damage. Check out this awesome line of sun-care protection from DERMA-E. I have been using their oil-free face sunscreen and love it! This formula provides safe, chemical-free broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection without irritating skin or clogging pores.
Summer Spray is also a must, it’s perfect after a long day in the sun. After a long lazy day in the sun, your skin needs revitalization and hydration.
Hats
It’s so important to try to keep your face covered as much as possible! Trust me I’ve had to learn the hard way. It’s way easier to prevent sunspots on your face rather than trying to get rid of them. Here are a few that I have been wearing depending on my outdoor activity.
Towels and Blankets
There are so many fun beach towels and blankets out right now. I found these microfiber towels that sand won’t stick to, and they are fantastic! They are perfect for vacation and will roll up nice and small in your suitcase.
There are endless uses for this beach blanket, family picnics, camping, and hiking, also lounging in any setting that has casual seating, like the beach, park, outdoor concerts, soccer games, and other sporting events.
Music
What’s a trip to the beach without getting your jam on to some lively tunes as you sunbathe, snooze or catch up on your beach reads.
I love my Beats Pill Portable Speaker, we take it with us everywhere! It’s traveled to Hawaii, California, and Mexico! It fits nicely in my carry-on if I don’t check my bag.
Sunglasses
What’s in my cooler
Wherever your adventure takes you, you will need to have something to carry your snacks and beverages. How fun is this tote set with a removable insulated cooler from Amazon.
Don’t forget to pack lots of water in your cooler! It’s so important to stay hydrated. Here is usually what I pack in my cooler.
- Cold beverages/lots of water
- Fruits & Veggies
- Sandwich or Tortilla Rolls
- Chips & Salsa
- Trail Mix/Nuts
Drink Holder
How cool are these cup holders? Perfect for your beach day, vacation, hosting a party, or camping next to a bonfire.
Beach Chair & Umbrella
Don’t forget your Summer Reads!
Cover Up/Change of clothes
There is nothing worse than sitting in wet clothes on your trip back home, pack a change of clothes, and you will thank yourself later! Have something easy to slip on like a summer dress that makes it easy to slip out of your wet suit. I hope you have a wonderful summer and will be able to hang out at the beach as much as possible!
Cheers, Stephanie
