Boozy Holiday Cocktails
Here are some fun Christmas cocktails that are sure to get your tinsel in a tangle!! I had lots of fun playing with these drinks!! I hope you enjoy it, and if you also make one of these fantastic Christmas cocktails, please let me know what you think.
Christmas Cosmo
Cosmos are such a pretty color for this time of year, and adding some pomegranate juice makes it just right! This recipe is also for sharing with friends.
Ingredients:
1 c. vodka
1 c. pomegranate-cranberry juice blend
1/4 c. orange liqueur (countrou)
3 tbsp. fresh lime juice
Lime twists or Cranberries and some Rosemary
Put all ingredients in a large pitcher and then mix. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with a few cranberries.
Peppermint Tini
How fun and festive is this cocktail? These are sure to impress your guests at your small gathering. 🙂
Ingredients:
6 oz. white chocolate liqueur
4 oz. vodka
2 oz. peppermint schnapps
2 tbsp. heavy cream
Ice
3 small candy canes
Combine all ingredients except candy cane into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake and then divide into martini glasses. Garnish with a candy cane.
If you want to rim the glass, I melted a few chocolate chips on a plate, dipped the rim, and then dipped them into crushed candy canes. So yumm!
Cranberry Mimosa
This is the perfect Christmas morning cocktail. I mean, aren’t bottomless mimosas the ideal Christmas gift? And these are so easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 lime, halved
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. sweetened cranberry juice
1 bottle champagne
12 fresh cranberries
4 small sprigs of fresh rosemary
Rim champagne flutes with lime and dip in sugar. Pour a splash of cranberry juice into each glass and then top with champagne.
Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and also a couple of cranberries.
Espresso Martini
I have to say this is probably one of my most favorite cocktails. In fact, this drink is good any time of year! It’s also the perfect pick me up drink with boozy magical powers! lol
Ingredients:
2 ounces vanilla vodka
1/2 ounce coffee liqueur (usually Kahlúa)
1 shot of espresso, freshly brewed (or cold brew concentrate)
1/2 ounce Irish cream (Baileys) This may make it a bit sweet if you’re not into sweet, add more Kahlua instead.
Garnish: adding a little lemon zest to the top is the perfect finish for this cocktail.
Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice, pour into a martini glass, and then top with lemon zest.
Holiday Gin Fizz
Ingredients:
2 ounces Empress Gin 1908
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce chilled cranberry simple syrup
1 egg white (pasteurized, if desired)
3-4 drops orange bitters
2 ounces chilled club soda
Cranberries and rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Combine the gin, lemon juice, chilled cranberry simple syrup, egg white, and orange bitters in a cocktail shaker. Cover, and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
Open shaker, add a handful of ice and shake vigorously again for 15 seconds.
Top off with the club soda, and garnish with cranberries and rosemary sprigs, if desired.
