Making the Most Festive Table for Christmas
Christmas is my most favorite time of year! I love to decorate my home and make it as magical as I can. With all the craziness in the world right now, I am so ready to jump right into the most wonderful time of the year and start decorating! Who’s with me!?
This year I wanted a glistening winter wonderland, using reindeer, silver trees and snowflakes.
Choose Your Color Scheme
I decided to match my tablescape with the trees I set up in the dining room. My trees are a woodland wonderland theme, but I’m adding a little bling to the table as well. So my colors will mostly be white and silver.
Focal Points
A stunning focal point is essential for your table. One or two larger pieces will be perfect for the centerpiece. Depending on your table size, if your table setting is less than six, I would have one large focal piece. My table is set for eight, so I usually add two to three larger items as focal points.
Essential things to think about as you are building your tablescape
Table Runner
I found this adorable table runner on Amazon Linked here. How fun is this cozy fur runner? I think it was the perfect base to start with.
Unique Items
These cute little Reindeer and trees are from Hobby Lobby. Doesn’t Hobby Lobby have the best stuff? Sorry, but Hobby Lobby won’t let me link any of their items, but if you have one close by they are worth checking out!
Snowflakes
I love dressing up the chandelier, it makes a big statement. Don’t you think? I thought the snowflakes added a fun texture to my table setting. The snowflakes create a bit of whimsical magic.
Candle Light
Candlelight is truly magical. I love how it reflects off of everything on this table and makes it shimmer. I have several different types of candles, a few votives, a couple of candlesticks, and of course my Glassybaby’s
Don’t be afraid of mixing different types of textures. You will be pleasantly surprised by how everything compliments each other.
Once again, thank you so much for visiting my blog. If this inspires you, please feel free to share it with your friends. I would really appreciate it.
Happy Holidays, Stephanie
I have linked some of the items from my tablescape below but some items I have had for several years and can’t find. If it’s not the exact item it’s close. Hope this inspires you.
